Hey! I’m Cameron

This marked the first red flag for us regarding her compromised cognitive state and the beginning of my personal experience taking care of a parent.

My brother’s hushed voice came from the bathroom, “Mom’s acting weird.” Refusing a ride, she insisted on driving herself to the Christmas gathering at my niece’s house. Unfortunately, she got lost and was utterly discombobulated when she finally arrived. Even after some time, she refused to sit down, clutched her purse tightly, and, at some point, insisted on giving our Christmas cards with money despite being told she had already done that. Ignoring my suggestion to provide a written map for her trip home, Mom got lost again, this time in an unsafe part of town. She did eventually get home, but this marked the first red flag for us regarding her compromised cognitive state and the beginning of my personal experience taking care of a parent.

I have spent well over a decade as a clinical social worker helping hundreds of adult children who provide care for their parents.

I’ve worked in ERs, ICUs, Oncology, and even Palliative Care. I’m also a Certified Natural Chef and believe eating healthy food is foundational to our well-being.

As a clinical social worker, certified natural chef, and transformation guide, I bring a dynamic blend of skills to the realm of caregiving. When conventional remedies fall short, they employ the art of storytelling and pragmatic mysticism to offer a fresh perspective. Their approach fuses ancient wisdom, archetypal stories, and modern science to help caregivers transcend feelings of overwhelm and powerlessness.

Through the lens of seeing caregiving as a profound Rite of Passage, which likely includes a Dark Night of the Soul, I support and guide you in ways to care for your well-being on this journey. If you are a younger care provider you may emerge with new confidence and humility, if you are older, say over 50, you have the opportunity to emerge as an empowered Crone and Wise One. May we all wear our scars well.
